Children’s Ministry

Jesus said: ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these’ - Mt. 19:14

We love children at Christ Church so we run age appropriate groups on a Sunday for children to learn about Jesus in a vibrant and fun way.

We have a crèche for babies and toddlers and little fishes is our group for our pre-school aged children from the age of 3.

The Young People @ ChristChurch programme (or YP@C) provides children's groups on a Sunday morning during the service for children between the ages of 6 and 16. The children stay in for the first 15 minutes of the service and then head off to their groups. Follow the crowd and one of the stewards or children's workers will point you in the right direction.

Pathfinders is our group for secondary school age children.

Little Fishes: age 3 - 5. The preschool kids love Little Fishes. There are stories sometimes acted out by the kids using props or puppets. The message is reinforced with games, craft, memory verses. There's also singing, dancing, praise and prayer. You can be sure that your little ones will have a great time at Little Fishes, and come out with plenty to show and tell you!

Groups for school years 1 - 6. The groups are split by school years. Yrs 1&2, 3&4, 5&6 all do a programme of Bible based activities, learning about God's plan for His world and His people through stories, games and other activities. The aim is to deliver a message that is relevant to their own experience of school and family life.

This group is for young people in school years 7-11. Here young people will engage with God’s Word through Bible teaching and discussion, helping them think about the Bible’s relevance to their own lives. There is also plenty of time for games and activities and good fellowship together!
